Homebody Hannah ~ a tribute to my Grandmother

Hannah is my middle name, after my grandmother Hannah Ford. My grandmother was a busy lady, raising 13 children. Hannah was a domestic queen. Her days were filled with cooking, cleaning, sewing, and gardening. Her domestic genes were passed down from her to my mother, then to me. As I get older, I love to learn new things that I can make at home. This blog is a place that I can share stories of things that I have learned to make by hand. I sure wish Grandma Hannah was here to teach me more.

Summer purse

I finally took the time to sew a bag for myself this week. There are so many steps, so it usually takes 4+ hours to make the set. I still have to make the cosmetic bag to match. I had my eye on this orange (top & straps) fabric for a long time but not sure what to make with it. I finally paired it up with the yellow flowered fabric then chose a dark pink fabric for the liner.

I just love this bag....I have been making bags and have sold 12 so far.
